Home sales volume took a sharp plunge of 22% in the Chicago metro area during May 2023, with only 13,820 homes sold, marking a significant decline compared to the same month in 2022.
Despite the decline in sales, the median sale price in the region experienced an upswing of 1% year-over-year. The median sale price reached a total of $319,000, during March to May 2023.
